A couple of weeks ago I asked for some book recommendations for my upcoming trip. Here are some suggestions I got back from you all. I like the mix of fiction and non-fiction, with a little sci-fi.
The Swarm - Frank Shatzing
“This book is a Sci Fi adventure /apocalypse story, it feels like written to be a movie. It is basically what if the ocean attacked us, and included Orcas attacking boats, that seems to be in the news now. I did learn a bit about the oceans, and how we are using them.”
Gypsy Moth Circles the World - Sir Francis Chichester
“My early favorite was the gipsy moth story of Francis Chichester.”
More here: Bucklershard - Gypsy Moth IV
The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder - David Grann
